Redmi Smart Band Pro Review

Redmi Smart Band Pro Review

Smartwatches have been around for a few years now and more manufacturers are joining the bandwagon. We’ve already seen many manufacturers like Xiaomi and Samsung introducing their own smartwatches.

However, the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has a history in the smartphone industry and we know for a fact that they can bring quality in other areas too. Despite their history, we wanted to take a look at their Smart Band and see how good it really is.

The Xiaomi Redmi Smart Band Pro has a 1.47” AMOLED display with a resolution of 194×368 pixels and 450 nits brightness which makes the text crisp and easy to read. This model does support high-level water resistance at up to 50 meters which is common with most smartwatches.

The Redmi Smart Band Pro weighs only 15 grams and has a thickness of just 10.15mm, making it very lightweight and easy to wear. The watch does have a smaller battery than many other watches we’ve tested in the past, with just 200mAh capacity which isn't that much for an AMOLED panel device. This makes us want to test out what kind of battery life this device can actually bring to its users.

Another important feature of the Redmi Smart Band Pro is its heart rate sensor which can measure your heart rate 24/7, not only when you’re active. The device does have a SpO2 as well as a sleep and stress monitoring system as well. Once you strap the watch onto your wrist it will automatically keep track of your waking hours and sleeping hours, so it’s easy to see how long you were asleep for each night.

The watch has a built-in GPS receiver but without LTE connectivity, this means that you won't be able to use 4G networks at all. This might not bother many users out there since they don't need cellular radio support if they want to buy a smartwatch, but for some people this might be an issue.

The Redmi Smart Band Pro uses Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity to sync with your smartphone and comes with 10 sensors which can track not only your heart rate, but also the SpO2 sensor as well as stress levels. Tracking your blood oxygen is important because it can measure hemoglobin in the blood and make sure there are no problems. The watch does support notifications from almost any app on your phone so you will get notified for all of them at once without too many issues.

The Redmi Smart Band Pro isn’t a bad choice if you’re looking for an affordable smartwatch that still has a lot of features, even though this device does lack LTE support so you won’t be able to use it without your smartphone. The Redmi Smart Band Pro does have good support for sensors so the device can do a lot of things but it will also need your phone to sync with other applications.
