Amazfit GTS 3 : Full Review

The Amazfit GTS 3 is a smartwatch manufactured by Huami, and sold under Xiaomi's brand. Made for sports-enthusiasts, the GTS3 has many features such as heart rate monitor and blood-oxygen monitor. The screen is an 1.75" UHD AOD AMOLED display that has a resolution of 390x450 pixels and 100+ watchfaces to choose from which can be customised via the Amazfit Watch app (both Android and iOS).

It has 5ATM water resistance (can withstand 50 meters of water) and uses Bluetooth 5.1 tech to connect with other devices or your phone. The body weighs 24 grams and measures 42.4mm x 36mm x 8.8mm (dimensions), and has a 250mAh battery. The watch comes with 150+ sports modes, sleep tracking features, 24hr blood oxygen/heart-rate monitor, and many other fitness-focused functions.

The GTS3's design is surrounded by metal frames that are silver in color, while the back case is made of plastic which has a textured appearance. The strap is made of rubber silicone for comfort outside when exercising or just normal wear around your wrist.

The overall look of this watch screams well-made product. It's sleek design resembles something you would see on an "expensive" smartwatch even though it costs $170. Just holding the watch feels premium due to its weight being heavier than other smartwatches I've used.

The Amazfit GTS 3 has features you would expect from a standard smartwatch such as: checking notifications (received on your phone), alerts and alarms, and controlling other devices like music playing through your phone's speakers.

Other features include: weather forecast, translation, compass, heart rate monitor/blood-oxygen detecter (with an LED light that turns red when you're overdoing it; this is good for those who don't want to fumble around with their device while exercising).

It also allows the user to change the screen's orientation between horizontal and vertical view which is useful for workouts or just normal daily use. The watch can be paired with Android or iOS devices via Bluetooth 5.1 or Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) depending on the device you are using.

All-in-all, it can be said that this smartwatch delivers what you would expect from a standard wearable; the same features many fitness trackers have, but with added bonuses like an AMOLED display and heart rate monitor.

The touchscreen is where I had my first issues with the GTS 3 tapping either too hard or too light results in unresponsiveness or delayed response to your taps. If you tap lightly, then there will be no effect at all so for me it's about finding the perfect middle ground between soft and firm taps for this watch.

The other issue is Also there is no calling or message reply option. This is pretty infuriating to me as it means that I have to check my voicemail to find out if anyone has tried to call me. And there’s no way for me to reply to those messages.

The Amazfit GTS 3 has a lot of functions that will satisfy users with high expectations for their smartwatch, while being able to deliver them in a budget.

The Amazfit GTS 3 is not only fitness focused but also meant for every day use, both of which are done by Huami's watch with ease. I rate this smartwatch 4/5 stars because it does exactly what you need in the price range worth the money, however due to its unreliable to make calls which drops down one star in my review.

It is available on Amazon at an affordable cost under $200 USD and there are other colors to choose from such as: Graphite Black, Ivory White & Terra Rosa.

This watch suits anyone who wants a good smartwatch for a good price.

I hope you've enjoyed reading my review on the Huami Amazfit GTS 3 as much as i did writing it, leave a comment.
