Apple has been on a roll the past few years, producing multiple high-end smartphones with amazing features and new updates. And one of their latest phones the iPhone 13 Pro Max does not disappoint.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max was announced on the 14th of September 2021 along with the iPhone 13 Pro and was later available on the 24th of September 2021. The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a starting price of $1099 and is available in graphite, gold, silver, and sierra blue.
It sports the A15 bionic with the new Super Retina XDR Display and many more. So, let’s get to some of the iPhone 13’s super features.
Design
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a much smaller notch than previous iPhones which is a relief to most iPhone users, it may not be a full-screen display but it’s an improvement. Its large camera array that takes up a huge chunk of its back, houses a powerful camera that guarantees sharp and amazing photos and videos.
At 240g the iPhone 13 Pro Max is heavier than the iPhone 12 Pro Max and its flat edge design is similar to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Armed with Gorilla Glass Screen and Gorilla glass back with a stainless steel frame, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is very much protected. With an IP68 rating, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is dust/water resistance making it usable in all conditions.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max also doesn’t have an earphone jack so an air pod/Bluetooth speaker is required to listen to your favorite songs on the down-low.
Silky Smooth Display
Sporting the new Super Retina XDR Display at 6.7 inches the iPhone 13 Pro Max offers a much smoother experience. With a screen resolution of 1284 x 2778 pixels and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, the iPhone 13 Pro Max guarantees a fluid experience when interacting with the phone.
Whether you’re scrolling or swiping between apps the iPhone 13 Pro Max offers a smoother experience. The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a peak brightness of 1000 nits and compared to the iPhone 12 Pro Max with 800 nits it has increased brightness. This allows the iPhone 13 Pro Max to show clearer pictures even when used in brightly lit areas.
Camera
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has new sensors and lenses and has a main 12mp (f/1.5, 26mm) wide camera at 1.9 pixels which are Apple's largest so far. It has a 12mp telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. This makes taking photos of faraway objects a breeze and its 12 MP 120-degree Ultra-wide camera allows you to take photos of objects as close as 2cm away.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max offers an amazing camera experience with a wider view and sharper pictures. This is surely an upgrade compared to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Its 12mp (f/2.2, 23mm) wide selfie camera is exceptional which is a bonus for selfie lovers.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has additional camera features like the cinema mode allowing users to make near movie-level videos. It can also record up to 4k @ 60fps with a video resolution of 1080p @ 120fps.
Hardware
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is powered by the A15 Bionic chipset, this gives the iPhone 13 Pro Max insane speed and you can expect smooth performance when operating and even gaming.
It is also has a great graphic boost with the Apple GPU (5- core graphics) and all-around it performs better than the iPhone 12 Pro Max and most of the phones released today. The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a max RAM of 6GB with an internal storage of 128GB upgradeable to 1TB.
The fact that the iPhone 13 Pro Max has only the 6GB RAM model is frustrating for some users but its other features make up for that.
Battery
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has an LI-ion 4373 MAH nonremovable battery with a 20W fast charger. The iPhone 13 Pro Max’s larger battery offers a longer usage time of up to 12 hours and 16 minutes which is an improvement compared to the iPhone 12 Pro Max which lasted for 10 hours.
It reaches 50% battery life in 30 minutes using its 20W charger, this is not generally as impressive as some other high-end phones like the Xiaomi 11T pro which reaches 100% in 21 minutes.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is an exceptional phone with amazing specs. Its powerful hardware and smooth display allow for great gaming and all-around user experience and its sharp camera surpasses a lot of other high-end phones in delivering clear pictures and videos.
