Xiaomi is not finished with its Mi 11 series. just take a look at the price range of the Xiaomi Mi 11i, you'll notice its priced a huge price gap between the Xiaomi Mi 11 and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, which is why Xiaomi is attempting to fill that gap with its Mi 11i.
Why is Xiaomi Mi 11i different from Xiaomi Mi 11?
As you can see from the pictures above, the Xiaomi Mi 11i looks a lot like the Xiaomi Mi 11, though it’s sleeker and taller, with a small screen compared to the Mi 11. The Xiaomi Mi 11i has a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display, while the Mi 11 features a slightly smaller 6.81-inch display. As a result, the Mi 11i has a slight but noticeable chin, though you can’t really see the notch at the top of the Mi 11i. While the Mi 11i is more affordable than the Mi 11, it isn’t quite as cheap as the Mi MIX 3.

The Xiaomi Mi 11i sits somewhere between its smaller-screen sibling the Xiaomi Mi 11 and its flagship brethren the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro. Its FullView screen measures 6.67-inches in length and just over 7mm in width, making it slightly smaller than the Xiaomi Mi 11. The phone comes with a glass body and curved glass back, and like its siblings, it’s available in at least two colors – Blue and Black. It’s worth noting though that the Mi 11i comes with a rear-mounted side fingerprint sensor, which helps unlock the smartphone a little bit fast. The Mi 11i has a screen-to-body ratio of 85.9%, with Xiaomi quoting it as 90.1% to make it seem more prominent than a notch.

If Xiaomi had intended the Mi 11i to take on the likes of the iPhone X and Galaxy S9 in the imaging department, it certainly succeeded in doing so. Apart from a tripe-camera setup at the back, the highlight of the Mi 11i is its front camera, which is a 20MP AI-powered unit. The primary lens at the back is a 108MP shooter with an f/1.8 aperture. The secondary lens at the back is an 8MP unit with an f/2.2 aperture and the third lens is a 5MP micro camera with f/2.4. These lenses have AI camera features built-in, including AI Smart Beauty that helps you enhance your selfies by tweaking the intensity of certain facial features, and AI face unlock that helps you unlock the Mi 11i with your face.
Performance
In terms of performance, the Xiaomi Mi 11i is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 11 in terms of hardware features and performance, which is to say it’s a good mix of what made the Mi 11 good and what’s coming later. The Xiaomi Mi 11i has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core CPU with 8GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB of storage, and a 4520mAh battery.
